The Playing field working group (PFWG) is to maintain and improve the outdoor spaces within the parish. This working group aims to develop parks and recreational grounds owned by the Parish Council in line with the needs of the parishioners of West Winch. This will be done in an environmentally friendly and sustainable way, creating community benefits for the foreseeable future.
To deliver facilities which meet the needs of West Winch today and ensure sustainability for the future. The Working Group has been set up as required to deliver work packages and projects.
A robust business case will be prepared for each element of the work to establish its necessity. This will include analyses of cost/benefit and long-term sustainability of any facility resulting from the expenditure. These analyses will be used to help secure funding for the work.
The working group, along side the Parish Council, will make a comprehensive effort to investigate all funding options and opportunities.
The Parish Council will identify and consult with the working group to establish the needs and benefits of each project taken on..
We aim to use the following platforms:
Members of the community with an interest or skill that are interested in getting involved should contact the PFWG. We will achieve more if we can work together, rather than in isolation. We aim for a fair balance between individuals and different groups in the local population for inclusivity and sociability. New facilities must be consistent with the design principles set out by the Council.
A recent donation to the Parish was from the Rapid Relief Team here in West Winch.
Established by the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church (PBCC) in 2013, RRT offers quality catering assistance and tangible support to charities, government and emergency services confronting some of humankind’s greatest challenges.
The Parish would like to thank the Rapid Relief team for their donation of another Dog Waste bin for the Parish, helping to keep our village tidy.
Presented to our Maintenance Operative - Kevin by Mr Rowland Wood, Networking Team Leader.
